Stephen Droddy
Stephen Droddy is the founder and co-owner of Droddy Music Group and the drummer for Billboard-charting blues/funk band Melon Jelly. A lifelong musician Stephen has dedicated his carer to performing, recording, and helping others grow as artists.
With years of experience teaching both drum and bass students of all ages and skill levels, Stephen combines technical excellence with an encouraging, student-centered approach. His passion for music extends beyond performance, he is committed to helping each student bulked confidence, develop strong musicianship, and master the techniques that create a solid foundation for long-term success.
Benji Ramsell
Benji is a full time musician/instructor/producer from Galveston, Texas. He plays locally, nationally and internationally year round. He loves entertaining and getting to teach others how to learn and express themselves through music.
Juan Hernandez

Juan "JJ" Hernandez is a versatile violist, violinist, bassist, and guitarist whose work spans orchestral, chamber, indie, and cross-genre music. He has performed with the Brighthouse and the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, playing major works by Mahler and Strauss. Trained at Texas Tech University and Dallas' Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Hernandez pairs a strong classical foundation with a passion for contemporary performance. He also teaches violin, viola, and guitar, helping students of all ages build technique, confidence, and a lasting love of music.
Kai Derrick
Ruth Dolan
Ruth Dolan is a Galveston-based musician with over 15 years of experience playing guitar, drums, and piano. She began her musical journey as a teenager, performing on a worship team from ages 12 to 19, where she developed a strong foundation in collaborative performance. Ruth plays primarily by ear while continuing to expand her skills in reading music. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production at Full Sail University, with an expected graduation in October 2026. Passionate about growth, she strives to learn something new about music every day and enjoys working with others to create and share meaningful sound.
Paulo Castillo
Paulo Castillo is a professional bassist living in Galveston Texas. WIth 25+ years playing bass, he's played throughout Texas, as well as across the United States. A graduate of the university of North Texas, Paulo has played in a wide range of artists over multiple genres including country, jazz, hip hop, tenant, latin, rock, indie, and original music.
In addition to performing, Paulo has spent years hosting open jams, creating space for others to develop their sound, skills, and confidence. His strong foundation in music theory and extensive live performance experience, and passion for helping others makes him an engaging and knowledgeable instructor.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to get to the next level, Paulo is dedicated to helping students grow as musicians while harboring creativity, confident and genuine love for music.
